Our Rationale, Vision, Mission, Milestones

We Are Non Profit Organization

Your Community Your Space (YCYS) is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) based in Paisley, Scotland. YCYS is established to serve its local community of Paisley focusing on a range of charitable purposes with the main aim at improving lives and fostering community development.

YCYS was officially registered as a charity in 2024 and operates primarily within Renfrewshire. Their activities and services are aimed at improving the lives of local residents.

As of mid-2025, Your Community Your Space (YCYS) is actively working to expand its offerings and the Renfrewshire Council has approved our bid for the Beechwood Community Centre in Paisley as our operational base.

YCYS key objectives include:

  • The Preventing and relieve of poverty through awareness campaigns and training.
  • The Advance of citizenship and community development, encouraging active participation and engagement.
  • The Provision of recreational facilities and activities to enhance quality of life.
  • The Promotion of equality and diversity within the community.
  • Supporting individuals in need due to age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantages.

The Key Community-focused activities and offerings include:

  • 1 Recreational Programs: YCYS organises recreational activities and provides facilities to enhance the quality of life for community members 
  • 2 Awareness Campaigns & Training: These are designed to prevent and relieve poverty by equipping individuals with knowledge and skills.
  • 3 Community Centre Development: YCYS is actively working to take over and manage the Beechwood Community Centre in Paisley with the goal of:
  • Addressing physical, mental, and social needs of the community.
  • Investing in the centre to ensure its long-term sustainability.
  • Expanding the range of community activities and services offered there .

Beechwood Community Centre

YCYS is in the process of owning / acquiring Beechwood Community Centre in Shortroods Road, Paisley which will serve as the hub for the activities. At the completion n of the transfer, the offerings at the Centre will include:

  • Support services for physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
  • Recreational and community-building activities.
  • Training and awareness campaigns to relieve poverty.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES

Your Community Your Space (YCYS) is actively working to expand its offerings and specific programmes are still developing.

These programmes are designed to support people of all ages and backgrounds, especially those facing social or economic challenges.

They will be delivered through workshops, support groups, and wellness activities once the Beechwood Centre transfer is complete.
